Some of you may know Ukraine is very close to my heart. My husband is Ukrainian. My Children’s Grandparents are currently in Kiev during this unimaginable tragedy.
Ukraine, which my husband fondly refers to as the land of wheat, Ukrainians are proud of their bread, and so they would be. Ukrainian sweet bread Kolach is similar to what we (or more accurately the French!) call brioche. It is a traditional sweet, eaten at special occasions such as Christmas or weddings, made into beautiful art forms, using braiding.
My mother-in-law brought over a gorgeous specially made Kolach for our wedding, where it was graciously enjoyed by all our guests!
This particular Kolach has been made to form a sunflower. The flower of Ukraine and symbol of solidarity and hope in this war.
Printed onto a beautiful 300gsm laid textured card stock.
Comes in A4. unframed.
These are prints and not original artwork.
If however, you order a totally bespoke design (brief given by you) the artwork will be original and not a print. Do get in touch if you would like a bespoke, original.
